Noho Hotel Spa

The brief for Noho was restraint. Rather than layering a spa vocabulary onto the space, the design strips it back to a single gesture — a hand-carved stone panel, washed from above and below, floating inside a deep frame of dark timber. Everything else recedes.

The reception counter is a solid dark monolith set slightly off-axis, so the carved wall is the first thing read on entry and the counter the second. Concealed lighting at floor and cornice keeps the ceiling plane free of fittings and gives the room its calm, even glow.

In the fitness suite the logic inverts: the room opens completely to daylight and to the sea, with equipment arranged so that every position faces the view. Treatment rooms return to the quiet of the entrance — textured plaster, a single warm light source, and nothing else competing for attention.
